Troup County Sheriff’s Office charges LaGrange man with murder after fentanyl overdose
A LaGrange man has been arrested and charged with felony murder after a man died from a drug overdose involving fentanyl, the Troup County Sheriff’s Office announced.
TCSO said deputies responded July 2 to a call about an unresponsive person at a residence in the 2700 block of Whitesville Road in LaGrange.
The deputies found Anthony Hall, 44, unresponsive inside the residence, according to TCSO.
Hall was transported to Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center ER, where he was pronounced dead, according to a news release.
An investigation into Hall’s death by TCSO’s Narcotics Division revealed he had been sold narcotics by William Gross of LaGrange, the release says.
TCSO said a GBI autopsy ruled Hall died from a drug overdose involving fentanyl.
TCSO’s Narcotics Division charged Gross with felony murder and sale of a schedule II narcotic Monday, the release says.
The release also states Katie Leane Facille was charged with purchase of a schedule II narcotic.
