Victim shot, stabbed in Columbus, police say. Suspect apprehended, hospitalized
A female was shot and stabbed Friday in Columbus, the Columbus Police Department said, leaving her hospitalized.
A male suspect in the incident was apprehended but also was hospitalized in the same altercation, according to Brittany Santiago, public information officer for the Columbus Police Department. The female’s condition was unknown, while the male had non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers responded to the Sugar Mill Apartments at 6900 Schomburg Road just before noon and found the victim and suspect, according to Santiago.
CPD’s Violent Crimes Unit was investigating Friday afternoon, and detectives were at the scene of the incident, Santiago said.
