Shooting on Stone Park Drive in Columbus leaves one dead. Victim identified

One man is dead after a shooting Friday in the 5000 block of Stone Park Drive in Columbus, according to authorities.

Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan identified the victim as William Javon Tatum, 40. Bryan said Tatum was pronounced dead at a local hospital at 9:38 p.m. Friday.

A post on the Columbus Police Department’s X page says CPD’s Violent Crimes Unit is leading the investigation.
