One man dead after shooting at hotel in Columbus. Suspect at large

One man is dead following a shooting Sunday at a Columbus hotel, according to Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan.

Bryan said the shooting occurred at Budgetel Inn & Suites on Victory Drive. Bryan identified the victim as 31-year-old Xavier Trent Igus.

The suspect is still at large, Bryan said.

A post on the Columbus Police Department X page Sunday night says CPD officers were in the 3100 block of Victory Drive investigating a deadly shooting.

CPD public information officer Brittany Santiago said police were called to the scene at 7:19 p.m. She confirmed no arrests have been made.
