A Columbus man arrested in Lee County for charges including child pornography now faces more warrants after a search of his residence, according to officials.

Don Anthony LeBoeuf, 33, was arrested Monday in Opelika on warrants for electronic solicitation of a child and 10 counts of possession of child pornography, according to a news release from the Opelika Police Department.

On Dec. 22, the OPD began investigating a report that LeBoeuf was sending inappropriate text messages to a juvenile.

“During the investigation, LeBoeuf began sending sexually explicit messages to who he believed to be a juvenile and planned to meet up with them at a local sporting event,” the news release says.

LeBoeuf now faces additional warrants for violation of the Georgia Controlled Substance Act– Schedule IV (Alprazolam), seven counts of unlawful eavesdropping and surveillance and three counts of sexual exploitation of children, according to a Facebook post Tuesday night by Muscogee County Sheriff Greg Countryman.

This comes after the Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at LeBoeuf’s home, according to the post.

The post says the MCSO seized multiple cameras, cellphones, other digital storage devices, seven firearms and 90 pills of unprescribed Alprazolam.

At the residence, in a bathroom used by the children, investigators found a surveillance camera in a vent, according to the post.

Countryman’s post says the investigation is active and investigators are conducting interviews and searching digital platforms for evidence.

“Additional warrants and criminal charges are likely pending for LeBeouf as the investigation continues,” the post says.
