Lee County child abuse case results in arrest and two counts of sex crimes
A Notasulga man was arrested and charged with two sex crimes involving a child, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office announced Tuesday
The LCSO received a call Monday night reporting sexual abuse of a child on Lee Road 217 near Notasulga, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies and investigators responded and found evidence that resulted in the arrest of Dorisel Lee Briscoe, 33, the LCSO said. His criminal charges are:
- One count of sexual abuse of a child less than 12 years of age
- One count of first-degree sodomy.
Briscoe was booked into the Lee County Jail without bond.
“The child was immediately taken into care and was examined by medical authorities, as is standard procedure in this type of investigation,” a news release stated.
