1 woman dies, another person is injured, in Gardiner Drive shooting in Columbus

One person is dead following a shooting Thursday morning in Columbus, according to officials.

Police responded to the 4500 block of Gardiner Drive regarding a shooting where one person was pronounced dead on the scene and another suffered injuries, according to a post on the Columbus Police Department’s X page.

Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan identified the victim as Lexus Antrom, 28.

Bryan said Antrom’s body will be taken to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Crime Lab in Decatur.

CPD’s Violent Crimes Unit is leading the investigation. Police urge anyone with information about the case to call 911.
