Columbus police officer arrested on charges including aggravated child molestation

A Columbus police officer has been arrested on charges including aggravated child molestation, according to court documents and the Columbus Police Department.

Court documents and jail records show Ulises Hernandez, 20, was arrested March 2 and charged with battery, aggravated child molestation and create/etc or possess with intent to distribute/sell visual medium depicting minor in sexually explicit conduct.

CPD public information officer Brittany Santiago confirmed to the Ledger-Enquirer that Hernandez is a CPD officer.

Court records show Hernandez entered a plea of not guilty on all counts, and the case was bound over to Superior Court.
