2 shootings, stabbing in Columbus over weekend leave three injured, one critical

Two shootings and a stabbing in Columbus over the weekend have led to three people being injured, one critically, according to posts from the Columbus Police Department’s X page.

A post Sunday from CPD says their violent crimes unit was investigating a late-night shooting in the 400 block of Braselman Avenue. The victim was in critical condition, according to the post. Police were called to the incident around 11:30 p.m. Saturday, according to CPD public information officer Brittany Santiago.

A second post Sunday from CPD says officers responded to an overnight shooting in the 2300 block of 13th Avenue. Police said the victim was expected to be OK. Police were called to the scene around 1 a.m. Sunday, according to Santiago.

In another incident that occurred between Saturday night and Sunday morning, a man was stabbed on Clover Lane and sustained a non-life-threatening injury, according to Santiago.

No arrest has been made in any of the cases, according to police.

The incidents are not related, Santiago said.
