Felony murder among charges against suspect in Harris County death investigation
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a suspect and charged him with felony murder in the investigation of a man found dead Thursday in Cataula.
Lexter Isaac Torres-Rosas is being held in the Harris County Jail, pending a preliminary hearing, the HCSO Criminal Investigations Division announced on its Facebook page.
Torres-Rosas also is charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
Deputies and first responders were called to the 7300 block of U.S. Highway 27 in reference to an unresponsive person.
“Upon arrival, the victim, Jamison Sankey, was found deceased,” the post says. “. . . Sheriff Jolley would like to thank the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Crime Scene Unit for their assistance with processing the scene.”
