A 14-year-old girl was injured when at least one shot was fired Sunday morning into a residence in the 3100 block of Plateau Drive, according to Columbus Police.

A police report states that the teen was taken to Columbus Midtown Medical Center, where she was treated for a gunshot wound to the back right shoulder area. She was listed in fair condition following the 11 a.m. incident, authorities said.

Officers said they were called 4 p.m. Sunday to the hospital. A preliminary investigation indicated that two women and a teenage girl were in the living room when at least one shot was fired into the Plateau Drive residence.

Police said the women ages 21 and 23, weren't harmed, but a bullet struck the teen. The shooting resulted in less than $500 worth of property damage, according to the report.

No one has been arrested or listed as a suspect in connection with the incident. The aggravated assault remains under investigation.
