Authorities said they are looking for any possible suspects tied to the Monday evening home invasion on Buena Vista Road that left a 42-year-old Columbus woman with a gunshot wound to the stomach.

The victim was transported to Midtown Medical Center, where she was listed in stable condition following the 5:24 p.m. incident, Columbus Police said.

Officers said they were called to the woman's apartment in the 5600 block of Buena Vista Road around 5:24 p.m. Monday to check on a reported shooting.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the woman was a victim of a home invasion in which she was shot in her bedroom with pistol, according to police.

Authorities said property was taken from the woman's vehicle.

A police report providing limited details about the incident doesn't indicate how many suspects were involved or include any suspect descriptions. No one has been arrested in connection with the incident, officials said.

Detectives continue to investigate the case.
