Columbus woman charged after allegedly stabbing man with knife

A man rushed to Columbus Midtown Medical Center after being stabbed Monday morning at Spring Creek Village is in good condition, according to authoriites.

Angel Tranell Hardy, 44, was arrested on the scene and charged with aggravated assault after police identified her as the attacker. She is currently in the Muscogee County Jail.

Columbus Police said they were called to the 8082 Veterans Parkway apartment complex around 10:38 a.m. Monday to investigate a reported stabbing.

The victim told police that Hardy stabbed him in the right hand with a small kitchen knife. The motive behind the 10:37 a.m. attack wasn't listed, but police say the two individuals knew each other prior to the incident.

Hardy is scheduled to appear in Columbus Recorder's Court this morning at 9 a.m.
