Columbus woman robbed at gunpoint outside her 14th Avenue home

Columbus Police said they are hunting for the unidentified gunman who robbed a 66-year-old woman Wednesday afternoon at her 14th Avenue home.  

The victim was held at gunpoint when the incident happened on her front porch around 5:30 p.m. but escaped injury, according to a police report. 

Authorities said they were called to the woman's home in the 2000 block of 14th Avenue later that day around 7:25 p.m. She informed police on the scene that a black male stranger armed with a pistol robbed her of $100 worth of electronics and $5 in cash.

The victim said the 6-foot-1-inch tall suspect appeared to be between 20 and 30 years old and weigh 220 pounds. The gunman, who has short hair, was last seen wearing a blue hoodie, according to police.

The incident remains under investigation.
