Authorities said they are searching for suspects possibly tied to the six Opelika business burglaries that happened early this morning between midnight and 6 a.m.

Police have released surveillance photos that show one of the suspects and the getaway vehicle used in the crime. The vehicle was described as a silver or gray passenger car.

Authorities believe these crimes were related and committed by the same individuals. It's unclear how many suspects were involved.

"In most cases the offenders broke out a glass door to gain entry," Opelika Police Capt. Shane Healey said in a press release. "Cash registers were stolen in some burglaries and other miscellaneous items in others. The offenders were not in the businesses for long."

The following businesses were burglarized:

  • Gohyang Gardens Korean Restaurant, 816 Columbus Parkway
  • Wing Town, 13 Samford Ave.
  • New China, 1515 Second Ave. in Suite L
  • So-Lo Service Station, 823 Crawford Road
  • Flowers Baking Company Thrift Store, 1503 Second Ave.
  • Unwired, 3702 Pepperell Parkway

Anyone who has information on these cases is encouraged to contact the Opelika Police Departments Investigative Services Division at (334)705-5220 or the Secret Witness Hotline at (334)745-8665.
