A man was attacked with a knife Monday night at the intersection Sturkie Drive and Burbank Street, according to Columbus Police.
The 18-year-old victim was transported to Columbus Midtown Medical Center with 6 or 7 small puncture wounds in his chest and abdomen area, according to an incident report. His current condition isn't available.
Officers said they were called to the 5100 block of Burbank Street around 8:30 p.m. Monday to investigate the aggravated assault.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the Columbus man was in the street near his Burbank Street residence when a male stranger attacked him around 8:20 p.m. that night.
Nothing was stolen from the victim, authorities added.
A more detailed description of the unidentified assailant, who remains on the loose, wasn't provided.
