Update: Two 18-year-old Columbus men have been charged in connection with Wednesday's armed robbery at the Super 8 hotel on Warm Springs Road.

Justin Andrew Cleveland and Jaquariez David Scott were arrested Wednesday night on Marlette Court and charged with armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. They are being held in Muscogee County Jail without bond.

Police said they found Cleveland in possession of the firearm and clothing used during the armed robbery. The tag on the vehicle used in the theft was found on a vehicle in his yard, officials said in an arrest report.

Authorities said Scott also participated in the armed robbery where $300 to $400 was taken. Police haven't specified what role he allegedly played in the incident.

Cleveland and Scott are scheduled to appear in Recorder’s Court 9 a.m. Wednesday.

Original Story: Columbus Police said they are investigating the armed robbery that occurred Wednesday night at the Super 8 hotel at 2935 Warm Springs Road, according to a police report.

No one was harmed during the incident, which witnesses said happened between 7:35 and 8:05 p.m.

Authorities responded to the scene minutes later.

A police report indicates that at least one man entered the lobby and pointed a pistol at multiple employees before fleeing the business in a 2001 Grand Marquis with a temporary tag. He wore a black bandana, black jacket, black pants and purple and blue shoes, witnesses told police.

Authorities haven't clarified what was taken.

Officials have named a suspect in the case. He was described as a 6-foot-3 tall black man who weighs 194 pounds.

It's unclear at this time if warrants have been issued for his arrest.
