Woman attacked during Boxwood Boulevard home invasion

Columbus Police are investigating a home invasion reported to have happened early Sunday in the 1700 block Boxwood Boulevard.

The 37-year-old resident was punched during the 4:30 a.m. incident, leaving a bump on her left arm that medics treated on the scene. 

Authorities said they were called to the apartment around 4:30 a.m. Sunday in reference to a distrurbance.

The victim told police on the scene that a 35-year-old man she knows trespassed onto her property and unlawfully entered her home, where he snatched her $200 cellphone before fleeing the scene.

Warrants are pending, police added.
