Police seize $154,644 worth of meth in Third Avenue home

 A Columbus man was jailed Wednesday and police seized $154,644 worth of methamphetamine during a search at a Third Avenue home, police said.

 Christopher Greenhaw, 43, faces one count of trafficking in meth, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, convicted felon in possession of a firearm and misdemeanor theft by receiving stolen property. He was arrested at 10:30 a.m. at 3015 Third Ave. and held in the Muscogee County Jail for a 2 p.m. Friday hearing in Recorder’s Court.

 Greenhaw claimed responsibility of all the illegal items in the home. Police said agents found 2.8 pounds of meth at the home along with a 9mm pistol and a stolen 32-inch TV.

 Police said Greenhaw was convicted of a drug related felony on March 20, 2006.
