A 59-year-old man was shot in the right arm early Sunday during a local Circle K armed robbery, according to Columbus Police.

A police report states that the victim was rushed to Columbus Midtown Medical Center, where he was listed in good condition.

Authorities said they were called to the 1801 12th Ave. gas station in Columbus around 8:15 a.m. Sunday to investigate a reported shooting.

A preliminary investigation indicated that a slim 6-foot tall black man armed with a revolver shot a Circle K employee and robbed the business around 8:10 a.m. Sunday.

The suspect, who police haven't identified, was dressed in a camouflage jacket, blue jeans and black shoes, according to a police report.
