TSYS employees temporarily evacuated after smoke in Building C

TSYS employees  were temporarily evacuated  from Building C at its First Avenue campus this afternoon.

  Fire Marshal Ricky Shores said employees were evacuated for about 90 minutes after Columbus Department of Fire & Emergency Medical Services were called to check on smoke in the building at 2:01 p.m. Employees were allowed back into the building after the cause of smoke was determined.

  Shores said firefighters found a defective heater motor in the ceiling of the building on the fourth floor.

  No one was injured from smoke in the building.
