Robbers wielding a knife flee with $400 from Columbus man

Two robbers, one armed with a knife, took $400 from a man Friday on the sidewalk at Victory Drive and Fort Benning Road, Columbus police said.

The victim, 19, wasn’t injured in the 11:15 p.m. holdup.

Police said the robbers dressed in all black clothing also took $200 worth of assorted clothing and a $50 bookbag.

 Both robbers were described as black. One was 6 feet, 1 inches tall and weighing about 160 pounds. He wore a bandanna and had a tattoo with lightning bolt on right arm. The second bandit also was the same height, with a bandanna and barbwire tattoo on his neck.

 The robbery remains under investigation.
