Columbus police found more than books Friday when they tried to find the owner of a book bag left on a Muscogee County school bus .

Police said the book bag had a stash of 2.5 grams of marijuana in a Mason jar at Kendrick High School, 6015 Georgetown Drive.  The illegal drug was seized by police for disposal.

Police found the owner of the book bag but the boy's mother said some other child placed the marijuana in the bag that belonged to her 17-year-old son.
