A 23-year-old man is recovering after being shot late Sunday near 17th Avenue, according to Columbus Police.
Authorities said they were called to the Columbus Midtown Medical Center around 9:40 p.m. Sunday after the victim arrived at the hospital with a gunshot wound in the upper chest. He was listed in good condition, according to a police report.
A witness told officials that someone armed with a pistol shot the Columbus man in the area of 17th Avenue between 9 and 9:40 p.m. The exact address of where the incident occurred is unknown, officials said.
Police didn't name or describe any possible suspects in the shooting, which remains under investigation.
