Columbus Police said they are searching for the four unidentified men who attacked and attempted to rob an 18-year-old man overnight in the 300 block of Farr Road.

Struck with a shotgun during the incident, the victim was rushed to Columbus Midtown Medical Center where he was listed in good condition after being treated for a laceration on the back of his head.

An officer said she was called to the hospital around 12:23 p.m. Thursday to speak with the victim about the assault, which he said happened on the side of the street between 11:50 p.m. Wednesday and 12:10 a.m. Thursday.

The victim described one of the would-be robbers as a black man dressed in a hoodie and black jeans. Detailed descriptions of the other men weren't listed in the police report, but officials said the group may be spotted in a silver Chevrolet Tahoe.
