A 15-year-old girl was admitted to Columbus Midtown Medical Center Thursday night after being shot in the right knee in the 2300 block of North Andrews Circle, according to Columbus Police.

She was listed in fair condition, according to a police report detailing the 9:43 p.m. incident.

Authorities said they were called to the scene of the crime around 9:45 p.m. Thursday but have yet to identify the person who shot the girl in the roadway with a pistol.

Officials believe the vehicle used in the aggravated assault may have been a light blue coupe or sedan of a newer model. The car has tinted windows, police added.
