Reward offered in Fourth Avenue fire officials ruled as arson

An investigation has revealed the cause of a fire today at 2602 Fourth Ave. was arson, the Columbus Department of Fire & Emergency Medical Services said.

Fire Marshal Ricky Shores said evidence found  on the front porch of the residence indicated that the fire was intentionally set.

Fiirefighters extinguished the blaze and two occupants were not  injured.

Shores said entry was forced into the residence and the unknown person  had intent to do harm by setting the fire.

Anyone with information on the fire should contact the Fire Prevention Division at 1-800-282-5804.  You may receive up to $10,000 for information that leads to an arrest and conviction of the person responsible.
