Police investigate theft of trailer from church

Columbus police are investigating the theft of a trailer from a church parking lot.

According to a police report, the car hauler trailer was stolen from the parking lot of Cornerstone Church of God on Lloyd Road.

The 2015 Diamond Cargo trailer, belonging to a Phenix City man, is valued at $3,600.

The trailer, which has a small dent in the back, was taken sometime between 8 p.m. Wednesday and 2 p.m. Saturday.

Police said there were no witnesses to the theft.
