Man, 67, robbed at Columbus shopping center
Columbus Police said they are trying to identify the man and woman accused of robbing a 67-year-old man Monday afternoon in the parking lot of a Columbus shopping center.
The victim was stripped of $200 in cash during the 4:15 p.m. incident at 1807 South Lumpkin Road but able to escape without injury, authorities said.
Officials responded to the scene minutes later and spoke with victim on the scene.
He said one of the thieves was a 6-foot tall black man between 60 and 70 years old. He was dressed in a slim blue and black striped shirt, the victim told responding officers.
According to police, the red-haired woman stands at 5 feet 9 inches and weighs 300 pounds. Reported to be in her 50s, she was last seen wearing a black shirt and pants, authorities said.
