Woman sustains head injury in Phenix City car theft
A woman is in stable but critical condition after being attacked early Monday in a Phenix City car theft near Foutaine Road, according to authorities.
Phenix City Police said they responded to a residential alarm at that location around 5 a.m. and found the victim suffering from a head injury on the scene. She was rushed to the Columbus Midtown Center in an ambulance.
Officials said the victim’s vehicle was stolen from the residence but later recovered in Phenix City.
Authorities would like anyone who may have information about this case or has seen any suspicious people in the area of the 800 block of Lincoln Drive to contact the Phenix City Police Department Criminal Investigation Division.
