Armed robbery attempted at Citgo station

Columbus police are investigating the report of an attempted armed robbery at the Citgo gas station at 1431 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

According to the police report, the incident occurred around 8:32 p.m. Saturday.

Officers were told two black males, one wearing a white mask and the other a black mask, entered the store and each had a handgun.

One attempted to get behind the counter but the door was locked. The clerks said both men then ran from the store.
