Update: Police release names of two wanted in West Point shooting
West Point police are searching for two men accused in Monday’s attempted armed robbery on Avenue I in which two individuals were shot.
Police said a man and a woman were wounded at 9:57 p.m. Monday in the 1100 block of Avenue I at the intersection of 11th Street. A 22-year-old Valley, Ala., woman was treated for a gunshot wound in her right upper thigh at East Alabama Medical Center Lanier Hospital in Valley, Ala., and released. A 22-year-old passenger in the vehicle was shot in the right hand and the right side of his face. He was transported to Midtown Medical Center in Columbus where he was in stable condition Tuesday afternoon.
Police have identified 25-year-old Kwmane Marquez Trammell and 22-year-old Morquavious Monriqua Brooks as suspects in the incident. They are wanted on warrants for criminal attempt armed murder, aggravated assault, criminal attempt armed robbery and aggravated battery, according to a press release.
Police describe Trammell and Brooks as black and both are considered armed and dangerous. They are 5 feet, 11 inches tall with brown eyes. The older suspect weighs 155 pounds and the younger weighs 165 pounds, officials noted.
Authorities said they are also searching for a black four-door Honda sedan with black hubcaps and a drive-out tag. Both the car and suspects were last seen in the area of the crime scene.

This incident is being investigated by the West Point Police Department and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
