Police: Gunman robs LaQuinta Inn & Suites on Warm Springs Road
Columbus police are searching for the man linked to the armed robbery that occurred early this morning at a LaQuinta Inn & Suites.
No serious injuries were reported in the 2:27 a.m. incident at 2919 Warm Springs Road.
Officials said they were called to the business after a 6-foot tall black man entered the hotel, struck an employee in the chest with a black semi-automatic pistol and stole nearly $60 from the cash register.
The unidentified thief fled the area in an unknown direction before they arrived on the scene. Surveillance video shows the man wearing a black toboggan over his face, black gloves, a gray T-shirt, blue jeans and brown shoes, according to police.
The incident is still under investigation.
