Phenix City man fatally shot on 15th Place
A 38-year-old man was gunned down inside a home on 15th Place in Phenix City this morning, authorities said.
Tracey Crowell was pronounced dead of a gunshot wound at 10:30 a.m., said Russell County Deputy Coroner Hugh Kendrick. His body will be transported to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences in Montgomery for an autopsy.
Kendrick couldn’t state how many times the victim was shot but said he died of a gunshot wound.
The shooting remains under investigation by the Phenix City Police Department.
