Man wanted in Russell County on two counts of first-degree sodomy

The Russell County Sheriff’s Office took to Facebook this afternoon to announce its search for a man wanted on a grand jury indictment for two counts of first-degree sodomy.

Authorities said Glen Curtis Smythe, the black male suspect, is supposedly homeless but frequently visits the Nichols Chapel AME Church and Tin Top area in South Phenix City. He is a 5-foot-9-inch tall slender man who weighs 150 pounds with brown eyes and black hair, officials noted.

Anyone with information about Smythe is encouarged to call the Russell County Sheriff's Office at 334-298-6535.
