The Hazardous Device Response Team was among the multiple agencies who responded to the Columbus Women's Health Organization early this morning after a “suspicious package” was left there.

Sgt. John Crump with the Hazardous Device Response Team said further investigation revealed that it was “nothing of a dangerous or hazardous nature.” It was disabled in approximately 20 minutes with a robot, and seized from the scene for evidence.

Crump said they are still investigating to determine who left the package in front of the 3850 Rosemont Dr. abortion clinic before 8 a.m., but Fire Marshal Ricky Shores told WRBL it was an order of makeup.

The agencies who responded to the scene, which also included the Columbus Police Department and the Columbus Fire & EMS, had left the area by 11 p.m.
