Woman reports being raped near Fort Benning Road
A woman told Columbus police Thursday afternoon that she was raped earlier this week less than a mile away from Fort Benning Road, according to a case report.
She stated that the incident happened between 8 p.m. Wednesday and 4:45 p.m. Thursday. It’s unclear whether her attacker was a stranger or someone she knew.
Authorities said they have yet to make any arrests in connection with the sexual assault.
