Fugitive William Lee captured in Phenix City
A man wanted in at least four Georgia counties was taken into custody Thursday by the U.S. Marshals Service and Phenix City Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division.
William Lee was arrested at the Sunset Lodge on Highway 80, police said on its Facebook page. He is held at the Russell County Jail.
Authorities said Lee was wanted in Georgia for probation violation in Harris County and Muscogee County, burglary in Marion County and for escape out of Stewart County.
During Lee’s arrest, authorities said they seized a quantity of narcotics and a stolen gun.
