Man found with gunshot wound after shots fired

A Columbus man was hit in the mouth Friday after shots were fired in his Garden Drive neighborhood, police said.

The victim, who was found sitting on the front porch and holding a rag to his bloody mouth, was transported to Midtown Medical Center where he was treated.

Before officers were called at 2:30 a.m. to the home in the 2400 block of Garden Drive, police in the neighborhood heard about 13 gunshots .

Police have no suspects in the aggravated assault and the shooting remains under investigation.
