Suspect in March 4 Peachtree Mall shooting arrested
Pierre Marquez Tolbert, 25, a suspect in a March 4 shooting at Peachtree Mall, has been arrested.
According to the Muscogee County Jail, he faces charges of aggravated assault, battery with physical visible harm and and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
He will appear in Columbus Recorder’s Court Tuesday at 2 p.m.
According to police, Tolbert fired a shot into the passenger’s door below the door handle of a 2006 Suzuki Forenza.
A bullet struck a teen girl, identified as Tolbert’s girlfriend, in the back.
The shooting took place at 8:27 p.m.
Police found a shell casing from a .380-caliber pistol at the scene.
