Police: Man ‘pleasures himself’ in Publix parking lot on Macon Road
A man “pleasured himself” in front of a woman Thursday evening in the parking lot of the Publix Super Market at 3201 Macon Road, according to a Columbus police report.
An officer was called to the scene minutes after the 6:45 p.m. incident, but the perpetrator fled the scene in a gray 2012 Dodge Sedan before police arrival.
Authorities spoke with the victim who stated that she was loading her groceries when a white man with black hair, a “military-style” haircut and black mustache parked next to her and asked for directions to Kia Motors. She directed him to the car dealership and then went back to loading her vehicle.
She said the 170-pound driver, who is about 5 feet 8 inches tall and in his 20s, then asked her if she was single. She told him that she “was 100 years old” before asking why he was asking her “such a stupid question,” according to the report.
He responded by gesturing toward his private area. When she looked down, she noticed that he was exposed and pleasuring himself, she reported.
She warned him that she was calling 9-1-1, and he drove off towards Macon Road in the Sedan, which had a Georgia tag of PYD 7009. Police made an unsuccessful attempt to immediately locate the driver and car.
After checking with the Georgia Career Information Center, police obtained the name and address of the man who owns the vehicle. The officer said she was not able to make contact with the registered owner in reference to the incident at the time.
It is unclear if warrants have been issued for that individual, but police report indicates that no arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
