LaGrange police investigating train death

The LaGrange Police Department is investigating a death after a person was struck by a train and killed early Saturday.

The victim wasn’t identified as of late Saturday because relatives hadn’t been notified.

Police said they were called around 12:17 a.m. about a person struck by the train near Cannonville Road. After they arrived on the scene, police found a dead person.

An autopsy will be conducted to determine a cause of death.
