Cat Walk dancer arrested for nude dancing

A dancer at the Cat Walk was arrested early Saturday after Columbus police found her dancing nude.

Elizabeth Morrison, who is also known as Elisabeth Long, was taken into custody at 2 a.m. at the 5368 Veterans Parkway business. She was charged with nude dancing and taken to the Muscogee County Jail where she was released on bond for the city ordinance violation.

Police were conducting checks for Alcohol Beverage Control card when they spotted Morrison dancing on the main stage with parts of her body clearly uncovered . After police contacted Morrison, the 32-year-old woman immediately attempted to cover her breasts.

Morrison said other employees had advised her that she could use a sparkle paint to cover that part of her body.

Under a city ordinance amended in 1999, totally nude dancing means dancing or appearing in a total state of nakedness without the protection or benefit of the minimal coverings required for partially nude dancing .
