Woman pleads not guilty to apartment stabbing on Fort Benning Road
A 37-year-old woman accused of the April 7 stabbing on Fort Benning Road that left one man wounded pleaded not guilty Tuesday afternoon in Columbus Recorder’s Court.
Kizzy Ann Peterson, the defendant, faces one count each of aggravated assault and possession of a knife during the commission of a crime. She was ordered to be held in the Muscogee County Jail under bonds totaling $27,500, and her was bound over to Superior Court.
Peterson was arrested at the scene of a 7:14 p.m. stabbing, which police said occurred at her apartment in the 100 block of Fort Benning Road. The victim has since been released from the hospital.
