Man, 32, accused of sexually assaulting girl more than five times
A 32-year-old Columbus man accused of molesting a girl more than five times was arrested Wednesday morning at his Rosemont Drive residence, according to authorities.
Ricky Lee Leathers faces one count each of rape, aggravated child molestation, sodomy and another charge in connection with the incidents reported to have happened at an unspecified location between Dec. 1 and Feb. 19. He was transported to the Muscogee County Jail without bond following the 11:44 a.m. arrest.
His preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. Saturday in Columbus Recorder’s Court.
According to a Columbus police report made on April 7, the victim told a school counselor that Leathers touched her “in a bad way” and said he wanted to impregnate her.
