Police release photo of suspect in Family Dollar robbery

Columbus police released on Tuesday morning a photo of the unidentified suspect in Thursday night’s armed robbery at the Family Dollar at 4328 Buena Vista Road.

Officials said the black man, who didn’t injure anyone, entered the business around 7:57 p.m. Thursday and forcibly took money from the cash register before fleeing the store on foot. He was last seen heading toward the rear of the business, possibly toward the area of Reynolds Road, officials said in a press release.

The suspect is about 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighs 160 pounds and appears to be 20 to 30 years old. He wore a black v-neck shirt, black pants, black sunglasses, black sneakers and a black hat with with red brim and white writing, officials noted.
