Phenix City man arrested in Eufaula murder
Sandarius Tremain Lewis, 20, of Phenix City has been arrested and charged in the murder Sunday of Devanta Deon Davis of Georgetown, Ga. in Eufaula, Ala.
According to a report from the Eufaula Police Department, Lewis has been charged with first degree murder.
Lewis was apprehended in Phenix City.
Agents of the U.S. Marshal’s Office, Phenix City Police Department, and Russell County Sheriff’s Department were involved in the arrest.
Davis, 22, was killed early Sunday morning.
Eufaula police were sent to the Jazzy Bones Club, 621 East Barbour Street, in reference to a shooting.
The incident took place at approximately 12:38 a.m. Davis was taken to Medical Center Barbour where he died of gunshot wounds. Barbour County Coroner Chip Chapman pronounced him dead at 1:22 a.m.
