Police search for two suspects in 32nd Avenue burglary, car theft

The Columbus Police Department took to Facebook Thursday morning to ask the public for help identifying the two men who allegedly burglarized a residence in the 800 block of 32nd Avenue in late April.

Officials said the incident happened between April 25 at 7 a.m. and April 28 at 12:30 p.m. A light blue 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe and firearm were reported stolen from the home.

Authorities said the vehicle was recovered in the Circle K parking lot at 3010 Buena Vista Road on April 28 at 10:36 p.m. The gas station’s surveillance cameras captured video and images of the two suspects abandoning the vehicle, according to police.

The first suspect was described as a black man with a low haircut who was last seen wearing a light blue, dark blue and purple “jersey-style shirt,” black and light gray knee-length shorts and white sneakers, according to the post.

The second suspect was described as a black man dressed in a medium blue t-shirt, dark blue below-the-knee shorts with white designs on the back pockets, white socks, black sneakers and a tan hat.

Officials said the individuals should be considered armed and dangerous.
