A 21-year-old Columbus man was charged Friday after admitting to firing nine shots at Eagles Trace Apartments, police said.

Isaiah Adams faces one count of discharging a firearm in the city and is held in the Muscogee County Jail for a 2 p.m. hearing Tuesday in Columbus Recorder’s Court.

Police said officers were called to the 2001 Torch Hill Road apartment complex to check on shots fired. They were directed to an area near apartment 20-C. On the scene, police said Adams admitted to firing a 9 mm pistol in front of the apartment.
