Shaw High Senior Council listens to leadership forum

Members of Shaw High School's Senior Council attended the 2015 Jim Blanchard Leadership Forum simulcast Aug. 24 and 25 on the Columbus State University campus. The students listened to discussions about leadership development from numerous speakers, including Tom Mullins, an author and the founder of the Christ Fellowship Church; Doris Kearns Goodwin, a Pulitzer-Prize winning author and historian; Scott Harrison, founder of charity:water; Daniel Pink, a New York Times and Wall Street Journal best-selling author; and John Maxwell, an author and pastor. Senior Council students who attended are, from left, seated, Karter Hill, Kayla Stutson, Alexandria Casey, Christian Jackson and Emmitt Brown; back row, Anthony Manly, Stafford Long and Mackenzie Smith.
